As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes, improve efficiencies, and implement best practices. You will also be instrumental in resolving any payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the department. Your expertise will contribute to building a responsive and supportive payroll function that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees based in Slovenia.
- Ensure compliance with Slovenian payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax obligations.
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, bonuses, and adjustments accurately and timely.
- Review and ensure accuracy of employee records and payroll data input.
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related queries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to support payroll-related projects and initiatives.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and year-end payroll documentation for local authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the Slovenian market.
- Strong understanding of Slovenian labour laws and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
